Install ClockworkMod Recovery & Root Galaxy Note 2

Step 1: Download the drivers for the Galaxy Note 2:
Step 2: Download Odin3 v3.04 (link) and ClockworkMod Recovery files (link).
Step 3: Extract the Odin zip file downloaded in step 2 to any preferred folder of the computer.
Step 4: Turn off the phablet. When it’s completely turned off, boot into Download Mode by pressing and holding Home, Power and Volume Down keys together until the screen turns bright. Now press the Volume Up button to continue into Download Mode.
Step 5: Search for the Odin ‘.exe’ file, which would be available in the folder where you extracted in step 3. Double-click this file to launch Odin.
Step 6: Using the USB cable, connect the phone to the computer. Odin will display an ‘Added!’ message in the bottom left message box, which means the device was successfully detected. If no message appears, try re-installing the drivers of the device. You can also try switching the USB ports.
Step 7: Select the ‘PDA’ button in Odin and select the ClockworkMod ‘.rar’ file, which was downloaded in step 2. Leave everything else unchanged. Also make sure the ‘Re-Partition’ option is unchecked.
Step 8: Click the ‘Start’ button in Odin to start the flashing process. Odin will display a ‘PASS” message in the top left box, which means the flashing was successful. The phone is going to reboot automatically, and when the Samsung logo appears, you can disconnect it from the PC.
Step 9: If Odin becomes unresponsive, and displays a ‘FAIL’ message instead of ‘PASS’, disconnect the device and turn it off. Now take out the battery and wait for a few seconds. Re-insert it again, and repeat the procedure from step 4 where you entered Download Mode.
Upon rebooting, the phablet will be automatically rooted. You can try SuperSU by downloading any application from the Google Play Store. The app will be granted root access when allowed. ClockworkMod Recovery can be accessed by the usual holding of the Volume Up, power and Home keys for a few seconds.
Your Galaxy Note 2 N7100 is now rooted and has ClockworkMod Recovery. Feel free to leave comments.
