Gameloft Releases Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour For iOS

\
Following the release of Rockstar’s GTA: Vice City on iOS, Gameloft has released Modern Combat 4 into the App Store. First-person shooter fans start warming up and charging your devices, because this looks like a great game.

This is the fourth chapter of Gameloft’s popular first-person shooter game, where the player assumes the role of various soldiers through different stages in the game to rescue world leaders from the captivity of terrorists and avert a nuclear disaster.
In addition to a single player campaign, Modern Combat 4 also features a multiplayer mode letting you play with other gamers from all around the world. The graphics are, of course, really impressive as are the audio and video components of the game. Gameloft notes that this is their first title to be powered by the Havok physics engine, which brings “amazing ragdoll effects” and lifelike vehicles to the game. The app is optimised for the iPhone 5′s 4″ display as well as for older 3.5″ devices and the iPad.
TouchArcade and 148Apps both give the game 4 stars our of 5, while Pocket Gamer says that, despite the bugs, the game is a good buy for folks who love entertaining shooter games.
