Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Update Hits More Users, U.S. Galaxy S3 Waits

Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Update Hits More Users, U.S. Galaxy S3 Waits

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, which brings some killer Galaxy Note 2 features to the Galaxy S3, has rolled out for even more users today shortly after the update became available to owners of the international version of the Galaxy S3.
It appears, according to SamMobile, that the highly anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3 is now rolling out to users in Korea. Specifically, owners of the SHW-M440S, SHV-E210S, SHV-E210K and SHV-E210L models of the Korean Galaxy S3 can now update through the Galaxy S3′s settings and through Samsung’s Kies application.

The Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 has hit more users.
The release of the update comes on the day that the Verizon Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update rolled out which puts the U.S. versions of the device a version behind devices in Europe and now, in Korea.
The update is a massive one and one that owners of the U.S. Galaxy S3 should be jealous of. The update, dubbed the “Premium Suite,” brings a host of new features to Jelly Bean including one of the Galaxy Note 2′s, Samsung’s 5.5-inch phablet, most powerful features.

Included in the update is the Multi Window View feature that is one of the more prominent features of the Galaxy Note 2. It allows users to split up the Galaxy S3′s display into two sections, each running a separate application. For instance, in one section of the display, users could run Facebook while in the other, be checking the web.
That’s not all either. The update brings the new Gallery app that’s found in the Galaxy Note 2 software, Page Buddy, a customizable Notification panel, a keyboard similar to the Gesture-enhanced keyboard in Android 4.2, a smart screen rotation feature and more. While it’s not Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the latest version from Google, it’s a fantastic addition to the Android family nonetheless.
The update should hit more regions soon but unfortunately for owners of the U.S. versions of the Galaxy S3, there is no telling when this update might arrive. Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean only just rolled out so it could be a matter of weeks, or worse yet, months before the Galaxy S3 devices in the United States get a hold of these features.
